The Purpose of this document is to provide definitions and clarity to the reports and terminology in Church Analytics
Giving Bands segments Donors and corresponding dollar amounts into giving brackets of:
- $50,000 +
- $25,000 - $49,000
- $10,000 - $24,999
- $5,000 - $9,999
- $500 - $999
- Less than $500
An individual, family or business that has given to the organization.
Donation transactions allocated for general expenses.
Donation transactions allocated for missions expenses.
Donation transactions allocated for building expenses.
Trailing 12 months
Data from the past 12 months.
Data from a calendar year starting January 1 and ending December 31st.
New givers are individuals who give to the general fund for their first time.
Givers who gave any amount to any fund in the last 12 months then didn't give the following 12 months.
Givers who gave any amount to any fund in the last calendar period or 12 months and gave again any amount.
Givers who gave any amount then lapsed, then gave again after the lapsed period
The net gain or loss of givers and giving indicates churn. Healthy churches reflect net gain in givers and giving.
The giving amount for individuals who gave the prior year but have not given following year.
This data reflects the giving amount from the year prior to selected.
Giving amount for individuals who give to the general fund for their first time.
The number of New Givers minus the number of Lapsed Givers.
The dollar amount of New Giving minus the dollar amount of Lapsed Giving.
