Setting Up Facebook Business Manager

About this Article

Facebook Business Manager is required if you intend to activate Gloo audiences to Facebook for ad campaigns. This article will guide you through the process of setting up a Facebook Business Manager account and ensuring that users have the proper permissions to successfully push Audiences created in Insights to Facebook.

Please note that this is not an official Facebook resource and has been developed to help assist in getting you up and running as quickly as possible. Facebook is often changing and testing new interfaces. Because of this, this document may occasionally differ from what you see in Facebook Business Manager. If instructions don't seem to line up, use Facebook's Help Center or contact us.

Creating a Business Manager Account

 

  1. Go to business.facebook.com
  2. Click the blue Create Account button
  3. Enter the required information and click Next
  4. Enter the required information and click Submit

Next you need to either Add an existing ad account (if you already have one) or create a new one.


 

Connecting to You Facebook Business Homepage

 

  1. Login to business.facebook.com
  2. Click the blue Business Settings button on the top right corner of the page
  3. Click Pages under the accounts header on the left side bar
  4. Click the blue + Add button
  5. Select the relevant option:
    • Add a Page - Select this option if your organization already has one. (requires URL or Page name)
    • Request Access to a Page - This is uncommon, unless you are working for an agency or firm on behalf of a church. (requires URL or Page name)
    • Create an new Page - Use this is your organization does not yet have Facebook Business Homepage.
  6. Enter the required information and click Submit

Add an Ad Account in Business Manager

 

  1. Log into you Facebook Business Manager account at business.facebook.com
  2. Click the blue Business Settings button on the top right corner of the page
  3. Click Ad Accounts under the Accounts header on the left side bar
  4. Click the blue + Add button.
  5. Select the relevant option:
    • Add Ad Account - Select this if your organization already has one. (requires Ad Account ID)
    • Request Access to an Ad Account - This is uncommon, unless you are working for an agency or firm on behalf of a church. (requires Ad Account ID)
    • Create a new Ad Account - if your organization does not yet have an ad account. This will open a window and prompt you to enter the information required and create a new Ad Account that will be automatically attached to your Business Manager Account
  6. Enter the required information and click Submit

Locating an Ad Account ID Number

  1. Log into business.facebook.com/adsmanager
  2. Click on the light grey drop down menu near the top left corner of the screen
  3. The Ad Account ID will be in parenthesis next to the name of each Ad Account
    • To maker things easier, you can click on the Ad Account you want and then the ID will be in the address bar of your browser to copy and paste.

Adding Users to Facebook Business Manager

  1. Log into you Facebook Business Manager account at business.facebook.com
  2. Click the blue Business Settings button on the top right corner of the page
  3. Click People under the Users header on the left side bar
  4. Click the blue + Add button on the top right of the People column
  5. Enter the email address they use to log into Facebook choose the preferences 
  6. Assign the access level you want them to have to Facebook Business Manager (Ad account permissions will be assigned separately)
  7. Click Next
  8. The user must accept the invite before proceeding to the next section

 


 

Assigning Users Permissions for Ad Accounts

 

  1. Log into you Facebook Business Manager account at business.facebook.com
  2. Click the blue Business Settings button on the top right corner of the page
  3. Click Ad Accounts under the Accounts header on the left side bar
  4. Click the Ad People button on the right side of the page
  5. Select the person you want to add and turn on all permissions
  6. Click the Assign button
